History

The history of the Akyga brand dates back to 1999, when Ropla Computers sp. z o.o. was established in WrocÅ‚aw. Over the years, the company has undergone numerous transformations, opening branches in various parts of Europe and Asia, as well as diversifying its offer.

Products with the Akyga logo first appeared in 2004, when the company started assembling LCD monitors. Between 2010 and 2013, there was a key change of direction occurred - it was decided to focus exclusively on the development of the Akyga brand. This decision resulted in an intensive enrichment of the product range and expansion of distribution channels.

The latest chapter in the history of the Akyga brand begins in 2021, when the company adopted the name Akyga Europe sp. z o.o., thus emphasising its unique identity and aspirations to become a leader in the consumer electronics industry.

  • 2001 - Authorised distribution of IPC-ARCHTEC notebooks - sales of barebones variants 

  • 2001 - Establishment of UAB Ropla Elektronik in Lithuania 

  • 2002 - Investor audit, changes in the company's Management Board 

  • 2002 - Capital increase to PLN 937,500 

  • 2003 - Liquidation of the Warsaw, Krakow and Szczecin branches 

  • 2003 - Acquisition of Ropla Electromechanics, a company producing proprietary computer cases 

  • 2004 - Start of assembly of AKYGA WrocÅ‚aw LCD monitors in cooperation with a Korean partner 

  • 2004 - Authorised distribution of AKYGA products in Central and Eastern Europe 

  • 2005 - Distribution of AMD Plus BOX 

  • 2006 - Full implementation of the SAP integrated management system 

  • 2007 - Authorised distribution of TATUNG on the Polish and Czech markets 

  • 2007 - Distribution of HANNS-G 

  • 2007 - Start-up of eR-Link internet sales system 

  • 2008 - Start of RFB deliveries from the USA - TVs, notebooks, consumer electronics 

  • 2010 - Increase in capital to PLN 2,100,000 

  • 2010 - 2013 - Change of product profile and company mission - decision to focus only on the development of the AKYGA brand 

  • 2013 - Start-up in China - Zhuhai, coordination of cooperation with partners, OEM/ODM 

  • 2014 - Intensive development of the AKYGA brand portfolio combined with expanding sales channels in Poland and Europe 

  • 2015 - Relocation of the company, moving to its own office and warehouse in Suchy Dwór 

  • 2015 - 2020 - Investment in IT systems to integrate the offer and support marketing activities 

  • 2021 - Change of company name to Akyga Europe sp. z o.o. 

  • 2023 - Establishment of AKYGA China office
